Adam focuses on helping individuals and families plan for the future, protect their assets, and provide for the people who matter most to them. His practice encompasses a broad range of trusts and estates matters, including estate planning, probate, and the administration of trusts and estates. He also works with businesses and individuals on business- and family-based immigration including matters involving international families, assets, and business interests. As a certified Personal Family Lawyer®, Adam takes a personal approach to estate planning, working to understand each client’s circumstances and goals.

Adam graduated cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served as managing editor of the BYU Journal of Public Law. Before law school, he earned a B.S. in biological sciences from Arizona State University.

Adam has a longstanding connection to Gunderson Law Group, which his father, Brent Gunderson, founded and which they now lead together. Adam began working at the firm while attending high school and Arizona State University, taking on increasingly responsible roles as a student. He left the state to attend law school at BYU and, during that time, clerked in several other legal settings, including a large multinational firm in Australia, a boutique firm in downtown Salt Lake City, and the general counsel’s office of a technology company in Provo, Utah. After earning his J.D., he returned to Arizona to join Gunderson Law Group as an attorney.

Adam is a member of the East Valley Estate Planning Council (EVEPC), where he previously served as president; the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA); WealthCounsel; ElderCounsel; and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Through these organizations, he stays informed about legal developments and best practices relevant to his work.

Adam is also active in the local community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of AZURA Inc., an organization focused on addressing the root causes of poverty and homelessness. He previously served on the board of Mesa United Way, the City of Mesa’s Board of Adjustment, and the West Mesa Community Development Corporation. He has also coached youth sports and volunteered as a leader with the Boy Scouts of America.
